Start your service journey at the Cardinal Service Fair. Through Cardinal Service you can join a student service organization, community organization or service program, take a community-engaged course in your major, embark on a service internship locally/nationally/globally, and integrate service into your future career. Connect with 50+ student service organizations and staff from the Haas Center for Public Service. Enjoy swag, snacks, and cool DJ vibes.

New Student Shuffle

Get to know your fellow frosh & transfers in a fun-filled mix-and-match game designed by your Orientation Coordinators (OCs). Be ready for great conversations and mingling!

Mocktails and Manifestations at the Fire Truck House

2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. | Women’s Community Center, Fire Truck House
Join the Women’s Community Center and Queer Student Resources for an afternoon of creativity and connection - mix and create your own delicious mocktails, craft a vision board or collage, and enjoy some great music. Connect with fellow students, learn about the resources at the WCC and QSR, and enjoy a rejuvenating afternoon. All are welcome.

BCSC Q&A and Family Reunion Cookout

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Black Community Services Center Deck, 418 Santa Teresa St
Come meet the student orientation committee and hear about Stanford culture, classes, clubs, and more from current undergraduate students. We’ll have refreshments, music, and a panel where you can ask about their personal experiences at Stanford. After, meet more of your classmates and build community. All are welcome.

Stanford vs. Virginia Football Watch Party

Kickoff Time 4:30 p.m. | Stanford Stadium Gate 1, SUID card and NSO nametag required for admission
Walk through the Stanford Stadium tunnel and watch the Cardinal battle UVA from the field! Doors open 30 minutes before kickoff. Enjoy food, compete for swag, and play games and activities with friends on the field. Bring your water bottle and a towel or blanket to sit on, but leave cleats, balls, skateboards, and outside food at home.

Chill-Axe at the Axe & Palm

5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | The Axe & Palm, Old Union
Enjoy the best burgers on the Farm. Learn about the legendary Axe and Stanford’s athletic traditions while meeting fellow students. Raffle prizes all night long.

Cookies and Contemplation

6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. | Windhover Labyrinth
Interested in contemplative practices? Curious about the benefits of practicing mindfulness to your academic success? Join us for a session of beginner contemplative practices, including breath work, seated meditation and stretching. Learn about the many ways to access and learn contemplative practices this year, meet like-minded people, and eat delicious cookies.

O-Show

7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. | Meyer Green
One of NSO’s oldest traditions. Come to the O-Show and watch Stanford’s a cappella groups showcase their talents under the stars. Bring a blanket to sit on.

Line Dancing at On Call Café

8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Old Union Courtyard Patio
Come to the student-run On Call Café and learn how to line dance with the Stanford Rural Engagement Network (“Rural Club”). NSO will cover drinks for the first 75 frosh and transfers – bring your SUID card. All are welcome.

Cardinal Nights Presents: What’s in Your Forecast?

9:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. | Tresidder Memorial Union Back Patio
Come and join Cardinal Nights to see what’s in your forecast for your Stanford Journey. Snap some photos at the photobooth, stuff-a-plush, and try your hand at some trivia, hosted by Arbor Trivia, to win prizes. DJ Kasanta will close out the night as you finish your first week at Stanford! This event is a part of our Cardinal Nights "Welcome Week" event series. Attendance at each of these events will give you one (1) entry into our raffle for Disclosure (9/28) and Shawn Mendes (10/14) concert tickets, sponsored by StanfordLive. Make sure to check in with Cardinal Nights staff with your ID Card (SUID) to enter. Winners will be contacted via email and announced on our Instagram on Saturday, Sept 27.
