Alumni, Faculty, Staff
New Student Orientation strives to acclimate each entering first-year and transfer class to life at Stanford by introducing them to the University's diverse educational opportunities and resources; acquainting them with other students and University staff; helping them feel at home in their residential community; and creating in them a sense of place in Stanford's history as contributing members. Our volunteers play a vital role in supporting new students and their families and we welcome your involvement in creating a memorable NSO.
Move-In Day Volunteers
Join us for Move-In Day and help our students move into their new homes! We are happy to invite faculty, staff, and alumni to be Move-In Day Volunteers! Join us for an optional breakfast on Arguello Field (between Wilbur and Stern), pick up your shirt, and head to your designated location to welcome our students and their families!
Move-In Volunteers will be located at the residences and will cheer for students as they arrive, unload cars, and carry belongings to student rooms. Please wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes. Faculty, Staff, and Alumni may sign up to be Move-In Volunteers.
Check-In Volunteers will be located at the residential Check-In Locations and will distribute SUID cards and room keys to students. Check-In Volunteers must be full-time Stanford Staff or Faculty.
