Schedule

All new students should be checked in by 5:00 p.m. on Move-In Day, Tuesday, September 17, 2024. New Student Orientation 2024 will take place Tuesday, September 17 to Sunday, September 22, and is required for all new undergraduate students. Please do not make other plans during this time.

The 2024 NSO schedule will be posted by September 1. Until then, you are welcome to review our 2023 NSO schedule. The variety of programs will introduce you to the university and the community as you familiarize yourself with Stanford.

Planning Your Days

Required Events: You should attend all required events, put meetings with advisors on your schedule, and choose among the optional events throughout the week. While the week may feel busy, remember to eat, sleep, and give yourself the time you need to transition to your new home. If you have family members accompanying you, plan to say your goodbyes before dinner on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Please do not make plans with them for the remainder of the week, as you will be occupied with NSO events.
Event Updates: Updates to events will be posted in the Approaching Stanford course in Canvas.
NSO Nametag: Please wear your NSO nametag for entry to all events.
Health & Safety: If you are feeling ill, please stay home.
Sustainability: Carry your reusable water bottle with you throughout NSO, and look for signs introducing you to sustainability practices around campus.

Communication

Be sure to check your @stanford.edu email regularly, which will be used by University offices for official communications during NSO and throughout your time at Stanford.

Lost and Found

Contact the NSO Office, Sweet Hall 1st floor, to submit or claim items lost or found during NSO.
